Choice, Change and Control (Insurance Education Foundation) - an entertaining video to help students understand how auto insurance works and how pricing varies by exposure. Features Kramer of the Seinfeldt TV show. (20 minutes)

Insuring Your Future (IIAA) - highlights the role of the independent agent within that distribution system. A recruitment vehicle but also indicates the role of insurance in community affairs. (9 minutes)

Facts, 1996 Edition (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) - a tabbed folder of insurance facts and state regulations. Information on fatalities based on data compiled by the U.S. Dept. of Transportation.

Speakers Bureau kits (Society of CPCU) - a brief Speakers Bureau compendium of relevant insurance issues: auto insurance; insurance fraud; protecting your home; small business insurance; workers' compensation. Each kit has guidelines for presentation and supporting materials and brochures. Provides suggested target audiences for each topic. Other CPCU publications are also available.

The Fact Book - 1996 Property/Casualty Edition (Insurance Information Institute) - For more than 30 years, the Institute has been publishing the Fact Book, an invaluable resource on P&C operations and related issues. Also provides a directory of key regulators and industry associations.

Target: Insurance Crime (National Insurance Crime Bureau-NICB) - a 1992 video discussing insurance fraud and what NICB and the industry are doing to combat insurance crimes committed by policyholders and professionals. Emphasis on auto related activities but references other types of fraud and crime. (13 minutes)

Final Choices - the Brad Shipman Story (State Farm Insurance) - a hard hitting documentary of one DWI fatality which outlines the tremendous consequences following an alcohol-related accident by a youthful operator. Accompanying speeches. (15 minutes)
Teen Driver (State Farm Insurance) - teens talking to teens on the responsibility of driving and using real life examples to illustrate the situations and consequences teens are likely to experience. (15 minutes)

Senior, Savvy and Safe (American Medical Association) - a nice outline of changing physical aspects by David Hartman that seniors experience: poorer vision, response time, or hearing. A practical guide for older drivers on how to be better drivers and extend their driving years. Responsible driving has no age limits. (10 minutes)

Air Bags (State Farm Insurance) - a technical discussion of the use of air bags, in conjunction with seat belts, and the estimated significant reduction in serious injuries. Several real life testimonials from accident victims. Based on IIHS and State Farm research. (10 minutes)

Home Safe Home (American Medical Association) - David Hartman takes us on a  tour of a typical home and points out problem areas or concerns associated with normal, everyday activities and living styles. Numerous safety tips and guidelines are offered throughout the video. (10 minutes)

Auto Insurers Unite to Save Lives (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) - a 1994 video featuring assorted CEO's speaking out on the Institute's contributions to human safety and loss control. (11 minutes)

Hey Nice Car, But Is It Insured (Royal Insurance) - offers descriptive information on the different insurance coverage options available for cars. Also explains variables that affect cost of coverage and reviews what to do when reporting an accident. (11 minutes)

Auto Injuries: Claiming Behavior and Its Impacts on Insurance Costs (Insurance Research Council) - An in-depth study of claims trends. This report documents types of auto injuries, average paid amounts, and the claims settlement practices. (1992 data, published 1994)

The Blame Game (ABC News Special) - a 1994 documentary on society's inclination to "pass the buck" and not accept responsibility. A John Stossel special report. (45 minutes)

Are We Scaring Ourselves to Death (ABC News Special) - a 1994 special report on "threatening exposures." An analysis of many of today's products and activities that may cause us harm. John Stossel narrates. (50 minutes)

Public Attitude Monitor, 1996 (Insurance Research Council) - a series of public awareness surveys dealing with fraud, auto insurance, value of insurance, natural disasters, and more. (1996)

Auto Injuries - Impacts on Insurance Costs (Insurance Research Council) - a series of studies on auto injury costs, indemnity to claimants, lawyer involvement, and more. (1994)
