How it Began:
The Dakota Pet

originated as a cooperative effort
of many individual South
Dakota companion animal breeders.

What is DPBA:
The DPBA is an
organization formed to advance South Dakota companion animal
breeders by conducting educational
seminars, dissemination
informational materials, and by
promoting and cooperating with other
organizations to support the
companion animal breeders of South Dakota.

Membership Benefits Include:
The DPBA offers an

information with others engaged in
companion animal breeding. It
is an avenue to provide educational
materials and information through
newsletters, workshops and seminars,
as well as promote "Dakota Born and
Raised" companion animals.
Members are also kept informed on
legislative issues and actions which
affect them, and are offered the
opportunity to voice their opinions
and concerns pertaining to such
legislative actions.
Members are listed
in the State Breeder Directory. Paid membership also
includes a listing on this website,
to promote you the breeder, and the
breed/breeds you raise. All DPBA
members must maintain current
applicable licenses, and agree to
uphold the high standards as set
forth by the DPBA.
